Also part of the first user test. Here the problems with the drop downs is even more obvious. Some users completely overlooked that whole area, "thinking it was an advertisement" or all one thing (not 2 boxes with different functions). Almost all users missed the options of "Shopping Basket", "Site Map", etc. This taught me a lot about design. The user results really surprised me. Before the test, people "liked" the design. But looking good is not always enough to make it usable. Testing is critical!
