High-End Of Animation My internship with the Imaging
Research Center (IRC) focused on producing graphics using
Wavefront. I learned the software from a certified instructor
while working on increasingly complex projects. Depending
on the assignment, projects were either completed individually
or in teams.
Wide Variety of Projects: Beginning assignments included flying logos--
both original (Fastfoods) and existing (Zenith). The 1995
UMBC Commencement ceremony had a "high-tech" theme
featuring work produced by students. The balloons is one animation
I created for the occasion. The Dancing Bear was a study in
character animation.
I also created pieces for use in video
productions: "Kinta cloth", a segment transition
for a show about outstanding Maryland Science Teachers; and
the "UMBC Sports Spotlight" TV show opening. The
internship students also produced a 30-sec commercial promoting
UMBC.
